November is coming…
In March 2006, when George W. Bush was president, 41% rated the economy “excellent” or “good” while 24% called it “poor” in an ABC News/Washington Post poll. Yet in that year’s midterms, Republicans lost six Senate seats and 30 House seats.
The situation facing Democrats is more ominous. The March 2 ABC News/Washington Post survey reported a mere 28% rated the economy “excellent” or “good” while 28% called it “poor.” Unless the Obama economy dramatically improves, it will be politically toxic for Democrats.
Democrats no longer have health care as a strength. The dreadful rollout of ObamaCare left the president with a 36% approval rating and a 59% disapproval rating for his handling of health care in a March 6 Fox News poll.
“As President of the United States, America will no longer do business with any country that does not treat women equally both by their laws and actions.”
Sit back and think of the brilliance of that platform approach. First, it’s Reagan-esque… In one simple sentence you ended the Democrat “War on Women” meme that is falsely used against Republicans. You put Saudi Arabia and any Muslim country on notice without attacking their religion, but by forcefully applying the principles in America’s Constitution. It also beats the liberal’s game when they trot out the “fairness” card and any other equality red herrings.
It’s truly that simple. No pandering. No bullshit. It’s something Reagan might have done if presented with modern circumstances, and it would be a profound platform to run on that would truly change the world for the better, while simultaneously solving dozens of Conservative political issues.
Republicans, you can thank me later.
Reid contradicts Obama who said at a press conference that Obamacare was “80% implemented,” when in truth only the Obamacare “menu” has been created. Huge reality gap:
“Max said unless we implement this properly it’s going to be a train wreck and I agree with him,” Reid said, echoing a warning delivered last month by Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.).
Reid warned the federal government is not spending enough money to implement the law because of Republican opposition to ObamaCare.
“Here’s what we have now, we have the menu but we don’t have any way to get to the menu,” Reid said.
Gee Harry, serious billions have already been spent. Pretty expensive ‘menu.’ Then he decided to chew on Obama some more:
“The president is taking money, I wish we had the money just to do this on its own but he’s agreed, he’s determined he’s going to take money from some of the other things that he feels are less important in the healthcare bill and put it on letting you and others know what’s in the bill,” Reid told a caller to the show.
Then he decided to just make up some data, or is pretty optimistic about adding 20 million illegals to the rolls soon:
“I believe that a country of our size, the only superpower left in the world — it’s not right that we have 50-60 million people … with no health insurance,” he said.
Good job, Harry. We’ll see you in 2014.
The one-woman liberal wrecking machine:
Question. What do you mean “deciding what care to provide to illegal immigrants?” The laws are already passed, morons… How about none, since the options still sound like they’re open?
America is in serious, serious trouble.
This week America listened in horror to an event that happens so routinely that it is considered defensible “policy.” The thing is, what America heard was not a random event or exception, what they heard was actually the foreshadowing of the coming Obamacare.
