US Justice Department acknowledges wide-ranging surveillance of Associated Press in massive Government tyranny against Americans and the Constitution
The president of the Associated Press has sent a letter of protest to US Attorney General Eric Holder over the Department of Justice’s broad surveillance of individual reporters’ phone conversations.
In a letter received by the AP on Friday, the Justice Department acknowledged but offered no explanation for the seizure of two months’ worth of telephone records of reporters and editors. AP’s president, Gary Pruitt, called the ongoing monitoring a “massive and unprecedented intrusion.”
The AP believes that more than 100 journalists are involved in the DOJ’s phone surveillance, which would have involved a wide variety of stories regarding government and other topics. Pruitt has called for the return of obtained phone records, as well as the destruction of all copies.
“There can be no possible justification for such an overbroad collection of the telephone communications of The Associated Press and its reporters. These records potentially reveal communications with confidential sources across all of the newsgathering activities undertaken by the AP during a two-month period, provide a road map to AP’s newsgathering operations, and disclose information about AP’s activities and operations that the government has no conceivable right to know,” said Pruitt.
The Benghazi Video Feed Lies that will Destroy Obama and Hillary
Charlene Lamb’s testimony:
“From that point on, I could follow what was happening in almost real time,” Lamb said in written testimony prepared for a hearing today by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, which has been investigating the attack and whether security was adequate.
State Department officials said yesterday they had never concluded the attack grew out of a protest over a video depicting the Prophet Muhammad, as some Obama administration officials had said last month. The officials, who briefed reporters on condition of anonymity, said there had been no protest at the U.S. consulate that day and the attack came suddenly.
Notice the Susan Rice youtube video spontaneous protest meme was destroyed immediately, but more importantly Lamb ‘could follow what was happening in almost real time.’ Sounds a lot like a live video feed with slight delay.
Now here is Hillary denying a feed existed:
Rohrbacher asks about testimony by Charlene Lamb, deputy assistant secretary responsible for embassy security, who later resigned. Lamb had testified that she watched the Benghazi attack on some kind of video feed.
“There was no monitor, there was no real time,” Clinton said. “I think there was a misunderstanding… I think that perhaps what she meant was she was talking to DS people.”
So Charlene Lamb, a 25 year veteran State Department official in charge of US Embassy Security, was confused about watching the terrorist embassy killing in real time? Really? And there is positive confirmation there is at least one video feed that has been acknowledged:
The officials said the “overhead footage was available at a DODlocation,” and they declined to comment further.
So who is lying here? Back to you, Obama.

What Bush Should Have Said and Why Obama is Failing
Liberals would like you to believe that the Bush Doctrine was about wars for oil. Like most liberal memes, that notion lacked reality. The Bush Doctrine basically said we will not wait until we are attacked, ever again, before we fight back. It was essentially the biggest foreign policy change in modern political history, and a necessary move to allow the US to fight escalating terrorism and other real threats worldwide.
President Obama often called Iraq a ‘war of choice.’ Liberals and the mainstream press (heretofore known just as “Liberals”) seized the meme and convinced voters that was a good thing. History will show they were wrong, and Syria is case and point. Obama now finds himself trapped by his own ignorant past statements, and more recently by his own ‘red line’ about chemical weapons.
There is no denying nearly 100,000 are dead in Syria and while the blame for many of them is not Obama’s, it’s starting to look like probably half those might be. Obama’s ‘choice’ to not intervene was a cold, incorrect liberal political calculation that suffers this generation who only pretend they are strong like Regan, but know nothing of him beyond his name. Obama stood by as Syrian cities were retaken by the rebels, and then the rebels were crushed by the Syrian Government.
Looking back, if Bush could have responded differently to this ‘war of choice’ meme, he might have summed up his doctrine and said, “We fight the wars we choose to so we don’t have to fight the wars we have to.” Simple. Profound. Pithy. True. Sadly, those words never came from Bush.

The Daily KOS once said “Obamacare is the Iraq of the Obama administration.” Now a red line has been crossed in Syria. Terrorists have just bombed Boston, the fifth successful known placing / activation of terrorist weapons on American soil during the Obama Presidency. Obama’s high-road has been crumbling away slowly, and no amount of irony was spared now that Obama has managed, through his hyper-partisan inaction, to turn the Syrian ‘war of choice’ into a ‘war of necessity.’
Liberals Preparing to Abandon the Obamacare Ship
Reid contradicts Obama who said at a press conference that Obamacare was “80% implemented,” when in truth only the Obamacare “menu” has been created. Huge reality gap:
“Max said unless we implement this properly it’s going to be a train wreck and I agree with him,” Reid said, echoing a warning delivered last month by Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.).
Reid warned the federal government is not spending enough money to implement the law because of Republican opposition to ObamaCare.
“Here’s what we have now, we have the menu but we don’t have any way to get to the menu,” Reid said.
Gee Harry, serious billions have already been spent. Pretty expensive ‘menu.’ Then he decided to chew on Obama some more:
“The president is taking money, I wish we had the money just to do this on its own but he’s agreed, he’s determined he’s going to take money from some of the other things that he feels are less important in the healthcare bill and put it on letting you and others know what’s in the bill,” Reid told a caller to the show.
Then he decided to just make up some data, or is pretty optimistic about adding 20 million illegals to the rolls soon:
“I believe that a country of our size, the only superpower left in the world — it’s not right that we have 50-60 million people … with no health insurance,” he said.
Good job, Harry. We’ll see you in 2014.
Lessons Learned from 9/11 and How the Government is Screwing that Up in Boston Bombing Case
On 9/11 planes were transformed into weapons and used against the American people. As a result, America learned that cowering to terrorists was no longer a acceptable default action to diffuse a major crisis and that if you are going to go down, go down swinging. The Obama Administration, Homeland Security, and the FBI have apparently forgotten that lesson.
The recent Boston bombings are case and point. The Government clearly identified the bombers within hours. Then, for whatever righteous reasons, they decided to handle this themselves, effectively paralyzing an entire city. In the 12th hour, when the political downside exponentiation was accelerating, it occurred to them to cut bait and turn critical intel over to the American people being held hostage not by the bombers, but by the unlawful American Government lockdown.
Hours later the terrorists were no longer in control but were on the run. Soon one was killed, and the other one cornered. One day later the second terrorist was neutralized and the known main threat rescinded.
This was all avoidable. The evidence of the terrorist photos should have been put in the public eye not necessarily in real time, but once the backpack carriers were positively confirmed, which was early.
It was the American people that were attacked, their way of life, and they deserve the brutal truth even when it’s not convenient for politicians. If this country is going to continue as a free nation and expect American’s to handle the high cost of freedom, it certainly also deserves the respect to have the facts kept out in the light of day where citizens can make clear judgments and decisions for themselves, instead of being unlawfully locked down and treated like sheep.
